1st of all... a big hello to everyone here. i've been "offline" for manymonths (personal crap... c'est la vie) and i missed NICO dearly. soit's great to be back if i may say so

So. about a week ago i had to have about $400.00 worthof work done my my baby; (TPS censor replaced as wellas Throttle position) considering that i have hadmy 98 Q (currently 56,000 miles) since 2001 w/o anyproblems whatsover, i felt okay parting w/ my dollarsfor a non-sched service. i'm always impressed w/ thebuild quality and overall craftsmanship of Infiniti vehiclesin general and of course, the smooth reliability that i havehad w/ my Q in particular. also, it's a blast to get a g35xas a loaner car! wish i cld afford to own both

Here we r in 2006- if i currently had a bmw/mb/audi instead ofthe Q~ship, even w/ the low mileage, i would havespent a few thousand $'s on serice/repairs- w/o any doubt!i can't think of 1 person i know of w/ a European car who hasspent zero time @ a dealership or garage over half a decade!(was that coherent? lol) Well, that's testament to the superiorquality of our Japanese imports :-) -not that any examples arereally needed, it's a well known fact now, and it was a fct back in1989 w/ Infiniti (and 2 yrs earlier w/ Acura and 1yr for Lexus..)

i still think the German automakers should focus less ontechology and more on the actual car- luckily 4 us, Nissanand the others already have all bases covered- just look @what the current m35/m45 can do and it's "case closed".-technology AND Bimmer-blasting performance!

lol, that's plenty impressive IMO. These cars are well built and well engineered, there's no question. Now if only there were a decent Nissan or other Japanese station wagon available (98+ and under 10 g's used), as it is, it looks like we're getting a Volvo V70 to replace the wifey's stolen Accord wagon.

awww, glad to see you back!!!! LOL

Seriously, I'm with you. The Q was such a well engineered car, through all the years. I've had my 90Q for over 3 years now, and she's never left me stranded. I had one unexpected problem my whole ownership, when the connection at the MAF wasn't tight. Five dollars later (a tube of bulb grease and the help of my NICO brothers) all was right with the world again! Just FYI, I did bring your post up to my mom on Sunday when I changed her air filter on her CRV (and refreshed the Zaino treatment I gave her for mothers day! LOL) and she asked how the Q was running. Told her how little you had put into your Q and what a great car the Q was. It is true,,unless you own one, you won't understand. YOUR POST DID NOT GO UNNOTICED!
