All of a sudden while driving though a parking lot my car turned off ? This did not happen again till a couple days later when stopped at a stop sign. I completed a full tune up changed spark plugs, air filter ,value , oil change and also put a fuel injection cleaner in my tank. No problems again for about a week again after starting car and starting to pull out my car turned off again. I then had began have problems starting my car haveing to turn it over serveral times to start. Battery working good turning over well but seeming like it wasnt getting enough gas ? Also when driving I feel a feeling of car not getting gas before turning off, I was able to push down on gas when happening one time and car never stalled ? I thought this may be due to a clogged fuel filter, we have just changed that as well and that didnt seem to help my problem. CAN YOU PLEASE TELL ME YOUR THOUGHTS ON WHAT THIS CAN BE ?

Welcome to our group, Rochelle.

Tell us a little more if you can. How many miles? Has intake, EGR or IAC valves been cleaned? New PCV valve? Did you have a scan done?

And which injector cleaner did you use?

My car just hit 102,000 miles when my car first started messing up I had a scan done that said error witht he o2 sensor but they reset it saying they thought it was in error, that light would come back on if it was messed up.My check engine light had not came back on till last night, about 1 full day since changeing the fuel filter,at least a month since engine light orginally had come.Sorry it was the PCV Valve we changed we have not yet tried cleaning the EGR or IAC valve yet could that be part of my problem ? Also the fuel injection cleaner used was Gum it. Thanks for your reply on this !!

Well You Need To Get A NEW Fuel Pump!!!! And Double Check Your Injectors!!! Possibly You Have A Miss Fire O Fuel!!!! From Experiance Have A Machanic Hook Your QX4 To A Computer Check!! Or Just Do It Your Self And Get A Philups Screw Driver... And Let You Car Run, Then ProCed On Takeing The Fuel Injectors Out,(NOT ALL THE WAY!)(But Not All The Way Out)(Just So You Can See If The Injectors Are Spitting) I Changed My TPS, (Throttol Possitioning Senzor) Out ! Due To A High Fuel Flow That Can't Be Fixed With Out A Mechanics Computer...... It Did Not Fix The Problem!!! See So If You Think You Can Fix The Problem By Your Self Then Do So!!! Otherwise Its You Agianst A Computer!!!! I Hope That I Helped You A Bit!!!( Change Your Fuel Pump)

I really dont think it has anything to do with fuel pump that seems to be working just fine. Also from my understanding if it was the pump then it would be a constant problem not and on and off one ? How should I check the MAF is that something I have to take my car to the shop for, or can I check my self ? I also heard it could be the fuel rely what are your thoughts on that ?

I Thank you for your all your help

Since you are in CA, I would recommend tou try a bottle or two of ISO-HEET (not HEET!) in a tank or two and a can fo BG44K in a tank.

It's right downstream from the airfilter. I would suggest checking the connector and its wiring first.

MAF sensors don't fail unless filterss are allowed to get too dirty or aftermarket units are used.

Thank you for the info I will check it out today and see what we can find out. The Do you think I should put the ISo HEET and Bg44 in tank at same time ? Will these just help clean out my fuel system ?

Don't know. What does you Owner's Manual say?

ISO-HEET and BG44K are OK at the same time, but run a bottle or two of ISO-HEET first, then the BG44K, preferably right before an oil change.

You didn't mention the MAF connector.

Slick50 will only harm not help.

Try posting a literate description in your own thread and include the service history, please.
