My 1993 Convertible

OK guys, I have a 1993 Nissan convertible, in original condition.
Auto transmission, original top, seats, etc..., the only things replaced have been the radio, antenna, a/c modified to
new type of freon.
I am the original owner, have 143,000 miles and runs great.
Just took in for a new paint job, it is red, and when I bought it I had leather seats installed before I brought it home.
I am also having the seats replaced, a new top(black, cloth) and new carpeting.
My car has been kept in garage since I bought it. I live in Florida
My questions are:
the carpeting isn't that worn, should I replace or just clean?
the top is not in bad shape, except for the back window (discolored) some threads missing and it bubbles when you drive, but I understand
the material that goes around the arms that hold it on that is probably rotten
.
Question? will the aftermarket top be as good as the one that is on it?

I had posted about the moulding that goes on the right and left side between the cap between the top and the body of the car,
Where do I get after market replacements, or is there something that can be modified to put in there?
By the way, I am a 62 yr old woman, was planning to sell, have had many people at gas stations, nissan dealership and even 2
collectors of cars wanting to buy .
Love my car, love to drive it, andwhen I think of replacing it, I just don't want to do, so I am spending around $4,000 to do
the cosmetics, paint job, leather seats, new top, new carpeting.
I am trying to restore or replace so it will look and stay in its original condition
I have only put 16,000 miles on it in the past four years. Most of the miles were put on driving between Orlando and Tampa,
and long distance miles.
I look at it this way, if I buy a new car, cheapest I can get would be around $ 26,000. If I wanted to buy another convertible,
would be more expensive than that.
at 4,000 miles per year, this car will last me for a few more years with a $4,000 outlay.
QUESTION:
ARE THE REPLACEMENTS A GOOD IDEA?
ANY COMMENTS ON THE MOULDINGS THAT GO AROUND VERT TOP ON RIGHT AND LEFT HAND SIDE/
CAN I HAVE THESE MOULDING MADE SOME PLACE OR IS THERE SOME MOULDING THAT CAN BE RETROFITTED?
I SEE A LOT OF YOU ARE RESTORING THE CARS, WHAT ARE YOU DOING ABOUT THE MOULDING?
After reading alot of the comments on this forum, maybe a mistake to try and fix up

If the carpet isn't bad just get it cleaned very well.

No clue about those side mouldings, best bet would be to find someone who has a wrecked convertible and is parting it out, don't know of anything in the aftermarket to replace them. Everyone is probably reusing that molding as far as I know.

The new top should be good, Topsonline.com seems to be about the same fabric as I have one getting ready to go on.
