My 1981 720 King Cab

So I have added a new vehicle to my list, this here is a 1981 Datsun 720 King Cab 2wd. It has a 5sp, a/c, and some weight reduction (lil' midwest rust). Found out it has a lsd, was on a hill with gravel and it started chirping went back around and was delighted to see 2 marks. It is a fun little truck, I say it is a truck fit only for a king. Anyways this thread would be useless without pics so here is my new truck. The 720 King cab















It has a z22 4 cylinder, 2.2L, 2 plugs per cylinder, carbureted, 87mm bore x 92mm stroke and an 8:5 CR (sure you guys know already)



This is my first love my 1985 toyota supra, 5sp, lsd, IRS, inline 6 twin cam, ect.

i wouldn't be too sure it has an LSD though... my truck (as seen in this pic) leaves marks from both tires when it gets sideways as well... but i promise in a straight line you'll only light up one of them... it has an open diff

So my truck runs fine at cruising speeds (0-35), but when you go up to say 45-55 it will do fine. Then out of nowhere it will stutter and stop holding speed. The tach goes down and if you try to give it gas it will do nothing, basically i have to pull over and try at it again. its usually in 4th gear and sometimes even 3rd. it is very annoying and I want to fix it so i can drive it at those speeds worry free. Any input is appreciated.....

Does it stall completely? If not then you got a fuel restriction some where. What kind of carb are you running. Check the filter, then the check valve in the carb. Hey Piez, it could have an lsd. They're rare but they're out there.
