First of all let me start off by saying hello to everyone and say that im new to the board. I just bought a 95 240 sx for 100 bucks, all it needs is a headgasket. I've started taking the motor apart and i have a few questions,i know it has the ka24de motor in it. Now i was told that i could get a set of cams from a 91 240 and it would add more power, i dont know if ths is b/s or true. if anyone can help i would real happy for all the input you'll could give. here is my msn page with pics of the car

WOW 100 bucks is a good deal for that motor alone haha damn you got yourself a very very very good deal with that car. people on here would slap their mothers to get that car for 100 bucks... well if you ever have any questions about anything just click the search button and if you can't find it on there then be sure to post about it. Let us know how everything turn out and what your plans are for it.

Cams from any 91-94 S13 will give an improvement. But if your'e going to be tearing the motor down anyway, I'd just get some racing cams from http://www.pdm-racing.com

Awesome deal. Good luck with your project! 100$ for the ride means even more to put back into it Are you going with another OEM hg or a metal one? do you plan for a KA-T in the future? what kinda plans do you have?

ok this is my story from about a year back to present date

i got 5 s13 for $1600 none were in perfect condition but i didnt expect it my first one was an 89 and got it for $250 it needed an exhaust and lock was f'd up but easy fix that was the car that lasted 5 months the next one i bought a 91 for another $250 first time seeing a dual cam and was amazed that it was fd up also the notorious rod knock through the block but i used it for the 5spd swap parts for #1 and would of been the race car if my mom hadn't towed it away but then i got a 91 coupe for $450 body was **** but motor was and is still gold at 103k miles i still loved the motor i hated the car cause of the big *** hole right behind the passenger seat i then stoped driving it cause of #4 only one small dent motor ran like a dream loved the rev limit everytime i got in it i paid $500 for it and lasted me 3 months before i hit the wall at 120 before a 180 and into the wall in reverse on my way home at 1 in the morning i have a provisional license so i wasnt supposed to be driving at that time so i just took off i didnt hit anyone but the wall and was able to drive away (thank god)and now i got an 89 i paid 100 by far the cleanest of all nice paint job but some mechanic did the timing chaing and guides and **** and left the tensioner loose so it was mixing oil and antifreeze the owner said it was the head gasket i did the head gasket and changed the oil. guess wat happend the oil and water were still mixing so i got mad took it back a part just to find out it was the timing cover.the chain was soo loose that it chewed through the cover from the top of the water passage to the bottom and this car is being a ***** to me after changing the head gasket twiceand after doing a new timing chain set the head gasket is now leaking and this car is really starting to piss me off but other than that its all good

ohh btw i paind for every car and im 18 now and i went through 5 cars in one year
