Congrats on the new car. Is this the new entry level Versa that is cheaper to buy? I noticed the black mirrors and roll down windows. Did you add chrome to the windows (on the outside)? If so that looks good. I think if you tint the windows it will add a little bit extra to the car. How do you like your Versa so far!?

Yeah brand new. Where the radio is in his pictures was just a plastic rectangle lol. Worked out I guess because I put my own deck in it (even though it only works when the lights are on ).

Oh ... I didn't know that it was an option now. When I bought my Versa in April 08, they didn't have the new base Versa that they have now. But that is good that you were able to install the radio you wanted.

And dfc222 glad to hear you love your V. My Versa will be 1 year old, April 2, 09 and I love her. No problems yet with her at all, with about 14,000 KMS on her.

a few visual differences:no chrome on grill (i REALLY like that), painted lower grill, no black tape on door frames and black mirrors and door handles.

congrats, enjoy it

Hi dfc222! Welcome aboard.

Pretty sure you'll like your little Versa.

Keep it simple. Don't think about making it fast. Making a small car fast costs a lot of money. How fast do you wanna go? lol

Small and nice upgrades; nice set of wheels, tint, spoiler (no aluminum wing lol), upper strut bar etc... Lack of aftermarket support for the Versa.

Good luck with it!!

Mods on a budget:

- decals (be tasteful, one or two small ones look good when well placed)

- custom paint (search the Camel); fog light wells; mirrors; handles; grill (you're already halfway there); calipers

- tint (shop around, get a deal)

- used rims, if you don't mind 15", you can find some that are dirt cheap

Nissan cut back on a LOT of s*** to get the msrp down below 10,000 on this car lol. It doesn't even come with a plastic dead pedal.

Lol, ya I noticed that. But I guess they want to compete with other cars that are being offered for under $10,000. In Canada though, the Versa sedan still starts at close to $13000 new. :S

To the OP:What kind of upgrades are you considering? I personally wouldn't waste my time/money on improving engine output, because these engines are made to merely take you to work/school while getting 30+mpg. (i.e. NOT meant for performance) JMO.

I suppose you can upgrade the visuals and suspension, if you can find any parts for those areas.

Hey guys, thanks for all the feedback

Im not looking to increase engine power since that would be stupid, if i wante performance i could have easily bought a fast used car.

Just looking for simple exterior upgrades. Im thinking black enkei rims and new tires.

But not now, im low on cash and out of a job.

Thanks guys!

OK, I can't help but ask. If you are unemployed, why did you just buy a brand new car? Is it safe to assume your parents had something to do with purchasing this car for ya? If so you're one lucky kid - at that age I had to pay for my own car which meant it was a cheapo hunk o' junk. LOL
