Hello everyone, last night I had the pleasure to join The drag track here in Bahrains international circuit...before I go on we have to keep in mind that I have a K&N short intake, deleted mid muffler, replaced with 3 inch mid pipe, then 2 2.5 inch to meet with Greddy RS mufflers...

The car has been responding better, flowing better but of course with lots of noise, but that's not the problem...what really killed the car on the track was the CVT which I came to ask about today...

Putting the car to take off was HORRIBLE...maybe it was me or maybe the CVT, but it was my first time on the track and I'm open for any advices...here's how it went...

I hit the brake and the gas together, to the max, which gave me a launch at 2500, of course with no wheel spin whatsoever, but the car as a friend of mine said, took off in slow motion lol, hell, first gear is 0-90 and takes a lot to hit 6000 rpm for the CVT to kick in...is there a way to launch the car faster, a better take off? Or is that just the way the CVT works? Or did I launch it wrong?

I got a 15.541 @ 153.39 KMH

Please excuse my noob ness as i mentioned, that was my first time on the track

Please help me! I face this problem even in the streets and not just in the track!

Thanks in advance y'all ! :gapteeth:

Hello again everyone...since the silence on my topic, I bought and installed the bully dog gt tuner...which i couldnt use it's full functions since I'm on CVT and couldn't unlock the rev limiter...

Yesterday I was able to take my time on the track again and tested different numbers on the A/F ratio and found my best number @-3 which gave me this:

15.5 before the BD
14.76 after the install

Great numbers there! Any questions feel free to ask! :D

I don't think the CVT lets you launch it like that, it is also the reason it doesn't dyno well, too much stress on the belt so it drops power.

Yeah!! I was impressed too man! There was a huge increase in performance especially when taking off! Here's a video directly from inside the car!

I've seen other post about switching it to Manuel for the launch and then switching back to CVT. I haven't had a chance to run my 3.5 with a injen short ram and catback at my local track but I'm gonna give both methods a try when I do

That used to work before I installed the BD... after the BD I don't have to do that anymore...the cars launch is already fixed after installing BD's tune and adjusting the timing to the right number

But if you don't have BD installed then the manual to D switch will help you a lot, the idea is to launch the car on manual then just when it's about to shift switch back to CVT and you're on the fly! Good luck bro ;) make sure you share the numbers with us or your experience after you install your bolt ons! :dblthumb:
