So, it finally happened to me. After 3 years of faithful service my ex-box finally gave me the red rings of death. No, biggie I have all the parts to fix it because I have been fixing all my friends for a long time now.

It seems that a lot of people are getting the RROD while playing MW 2, seems a little fishy to me. I wonder if it is because of the graphics load? Anybody else experienced problems while playing MW2?

Silly consoles and their hardware packaging issues.

I definitely think it is because of the graphics load.

So far my Xbox has been apart of two 15+ hour sessions. I feel that the thermal compound really makes a difference. I use the best stuff available and I have been RRoD free for about 5 months (with extensive use). I usually end up fixing it every 6 months (normal use) but nothing so far.

My xbox red-ringed for the 2nd time the week after mw2 released, and in that time mw2 was the only game being played. It was fine the weeks before playing forza 3 but who knows if that is what finally caused it.

I am so bored....MW2 just killed my 360 today.

....at least by the time I get back on Live, they should have the game patched up by then

[infomercial voice]Do you want to avoid possible RROD occurances?

Embarrassed by that ugly Xbox 360 sitting in your entertainment center?

Do you just have TOO damn much space in your entertainment center?

Do you find your Xbox 360's factory fans intolerably quiet. Do you wish they would make their presence known not only more prominently while using the console, but after you've turned it off as well?

Fret no more, because the HumongoWhattheHellisThatThing from NyKatz is here!

The HumongoWhattheHellisThatThing (HWHTT, pronounced like you're hocking phlegm) increases the exterior dimensions of your Xbox 360 console by nearly 50 percent! Additionally, it adds two new noisy fans facing a completely unventilated side of the case, ensuring they will provide absolutely zero useful airflow to the system while adding ambient noise to your gaming experience. And as an extra bonus, the HWHTT provides the only TRUE solution to the Red Rings of Death problem. In the event that the HWHTT's poorly located fans fail to compensate for the increased heat soak of leaving your console inside the sleek, shiny, sexy enclosure, the HWHTT's faceplate obscures those ugly red lights and presents you instead with a lovely and futuristically sleek blue ring. Now you don't have to worry about those red ring disasters ever again!

Lines are only open for the next 12 minutes. Order yours TODAY![/infomercial voice]

My xbox will have been shipped out 2 weeks tomorrow, and on the xbox.com site the repair status says its still in repair. I think they must be pretty busy, because the last time my xbox red-ringed I got it back in barely a week after sending it out.
