im working on a 93 240 thats got r134a. most likely its a conversion. i dunno. just doesnt make sense that some 93's have it and others dont. all factory 240's are hard to find. every time i hear someone say "oh its all factory" i can usually take a look at the car and find where its been worked on. reason id say the car im working on is a conversion is because the cars been wrecked in the front.

if i did ac repair and converted you better believe i would use new lines with r134 fittings. so i dont see why ac places wouldnt.

Do you not see the hood sticker? All 3 of the 93 240's had this. And this car i know for a fact is original its been in a garage the last several years with 160,xxx original miles with minor engine prob. Clean carfax and the original owner said its the way he bought it.

yes, i also see the hood sticker on the car im working on. i also see the car im working on has been wrecked in the front. im also seeing made in usa on the ac lines. i just find it funny some 93's have it and others dont. dont know if you read but i have an assload of 240's. 11 at the moment. a few which are 93's.

cars get worked on. parts get replaced. most of the time the owner isnt the one wrenching so they dont know d!ck about whats been done. either rate who cares.

parts car car r12 build date 10/92 customer car r134a build date 11/92parts car r12 build date 3/93

see where i get my skepticism. i just dont see them cranking out some r12, then some r134a then some more r12 just to get us crazy americans to argue over it 20 years later, lol.
