Hello, i searched and came even more confused, is there any wiring diagram for the maxima's maf on the ka24de, i found it from the n62(300zx) but i do not know if it is the same. Also, i want to know if it is possible to put the mustangs gt maf on the ka24de, i am using a safc II.

Also might be not be the maf my problem, the car shakes a lot when it is on idle, the problem is that after the maf (between the maf and the filter) there is another conector that is broken, could this be the problem or even if i change the maf it is going to stay the same.

PD:I am getting the maximas maf for free and the mustangs gt maf probably i can get it to for free.

You might have an air leak. That could cause a rough idle. But I'm not sure what youre describing.

The Maxima MAF is an N60. Ive heard its good up to 300-340hp. I still havent heard a definite answer whether its 300-340whp or at the crank.

I dont know if the SAFC can run a Mustang MAF...

The ONLY Mustang MAF that can be used with your 240SX is a speicific year Cobra MAF...and even then, ONLY JWT uses it.

S-AFC does not support the Cobra MAF.

Use another Nissan MAF...

Well, you said theres a broken connector between the filter and MAF. I'm not 100% sure, but that may be the air temp sensor.

Not sure if you have AutoZone in your area, but they can check to see what kinda of codes your ECU is showing (if you can drive the car). That can help figure out what needs to be fixed/replaced. I woudnt swap MAFs til you knew what the original problem is.

One last thing: Ive read the you should have a smooth path for the air coming into the MAF. If there are sharp bends or a leak or something to disturb the flow of air into the MAF, it may not read correctly. But it seems like this would affect the car at any rpm, not just idle.

believe it or not orion, that was the same answer i gave to someone a few years back, and someone else on FA said that you can use the cobra maf with a SAFC, and he even gave the in and out #. so yeah i was shocked, but don't know how true that is. you can always go look up the post, its either in here or FA. if it works, let us know.

According to the aem install of the intake the name of the part that i broke is the IAT sensor and is mounted with two bolts that thread through the air box, do you think that this could causing the problem?

when your running no IAT sensor, it barely makes a difference if any.
