Mustang 5.0 engine in S14 Questions.

I have a few questions for you guys about the ford 5.0 302. I wanted to know what oil pan and oil pickup did you guys use, because i'm sure that the gt mustang one is a rear sump and of course im going to need a front sump. So what car or truck oil pan can be used. I used to own a gt 1986 mustang . I had to replace the qudrant clutch assembly on it wich is a pain in the but. Thats because it was a cable transmission. So my next question is, is wich 5spd transmission bolts to that engine that is hydraulic. Or is there a way to make the cable one to work.

If you guys can help I would be greatly appreciated. Im thinking of selling all my ka-t stuff to fund this. I will start out n/a but will make it turbocharged. Or I will just make it single turbo from the beggining.

transmission

The T5 is the most common transmission I believe for the 5.0, but if you can step it up to one of the newer TKOs or a T56, you can probably source a bellhousing for it easily (but probably not cheap).

If you're going the budget route, you can buy an adapter to use a mechanical slave cylinder for the T5 or you can go the hydraulic route such as the units made by Tilton and Quartermaster. (Ex: Tilton unit consists of P/N 61-601 bearing, 61-612 adapter, and 74-875U clutch master cylinder.) But, the hydraulic route is more expensive.

lol thanks a lot mani will look into this. Im not ready to do this now, im still running ka-t and its running strong. I might do this after something blows. If it doesn't better for me i guess. Thanks a lot.
