Just curious if there are any "must have" gauges for a SR 240? I was thinking boost and A/F gauge... Any other recommendations? Maybe a Tach?

Oil pressure or temp?

The Tach was recommended by my mechanic friend who drives an STI. He said something about knowing the real redline of the car since its different from the KA engine.

Anyone know if Megan's A/F gauge is a wideband?

For daily use a water temp and boost gauge would be sufficient. If you want to start tuning then the wideband O2 would be needed. A/F gauges arent necessary.

I would recommend

FirstBoostOil PressureWater Temp

Then when you get some knowledge of the Nissan/SR area

Wideband (for tuning)Oil Temp

If you buy a tach Ill smack you. The SR redline is 7500 but most SRs fall off in power before 7500. Especially if your running the T25. My motor falls off at 7200 so no reason to go all the way to redline.

K, thanks for the input. I don't know why he was suggesting a tach, but he seems to know his stuff.

Thanks again

the only reason I would get an aftermarket tach is if your seriously racing. The factory tach is not exactly the most acurate piece but it works well enough for street use.
