Whats the first game i should get?

every RPG fan must try the Pokemon series, once you get over the kiddy presentation you will find a very deep and rewarding RPG experience. Most RPGs don't compare to the depth that this series offer. Plus the DS has crazy spins that I just experienced. Imagine your in game character fell into a fire trap, you try to press any buttons, no response. In order for me to escape the fire trap, I had to blow the flames out literally. I had to blow into the DS's microphone in order for the fire to go out...LOL I actually almost turned off the system, I ended up cheating and went online.

this is the second time where a Pokemon game made me buy hardware, it was Fire Red Pokemon that made me buy a Gameboy SP. Now Pokemon Diamond made me buy a DS.

I thought Etrian Odyssey sucked. I thought the clunky first person perspective ruined the game (though it needed help in other areas as well).

I have Pokemon Diamond but I haven't played it in...probably months. VERY boring.

FFIII is excellent. Good presentation, enjoyable gameplay, good story...

Turn based strategy with cartoonish graphics. It's got an interesting combat system and uses the top screen for air and bottom screen for land units.

There's a good strategy game buried somewhere in there...unfortunately I couldn't put up with the ABYSMAL dialogue long enough to find it. The game uses "owned" in dead serious conversation. I couldn't take it.

If you can put up with the dialogue, though, you'll definitely enjoy it.
