Just got a G37 with the Premium and Navigation packages. How fast does the MusicBox system rip CDs? Is it real-time, so you have to listen to the whole CD, or does it rip at a higher speed? (iTunes, for example, rips at several times normal listening speed, even though you can listen to the CD as it is ripped.) If it is real-time, then it seems you can only load the MusicBox hard disk over a period of time.

Thanks.

David

I found that mine rips a nearly full 80 minute CD in 13-14 minutes, so about 6X. When the CD is done ripping you can eject it and continue listening uninterrupted from the music box or rip another.

Since you asked this 5 days ago I'll assume you figured it out, but just in case... You'll notice that as you're ripping a CD the display will let you know how many songs are on the disc, and which track it's currently ripping. For a 15 song CD, it will display 1/15.. 2/15.. 3/15.. etc. as it rips each track. After it has completed 15/15, the counter will disappear and the CD is in the music box.
