Dude, I agree with you! I hate her soooooo much, everyone of her ****ing songs get on my nerves. And to think, it all started with that annoying "its my window, I cant stand the rain" song. Ahhhhhhhh!!

I like rock/techno hybrids, but I lean toward rock, so I voted for that.

I'm not voting, since i don't prefer any of those categories.

I like bands like Thursday, Thrice, Coheed & Cambria, Grade, Juliana Theory, At the drive in/sparta, fairweather, descendents/all, movielife, midtown, the used and FINCH!

I'd classify At the Drive-In as rock. Darkeagle pretty much hit on most of the bands I listen to, but I'll throw in Systematic, Stereomud, Megadeth, Metallica(older stuff, they have sold out), Rage Against the Machine, the list goes on but you can see why I voted rock, although I listen to just about anything that isn't country.

BLINK!! This whole time I thought you were just an angry Canadian, I didn't know you liked good music...

GET MIDTOWN OUT OF THERE, c*** rock sucks. New Thrice album is simply amazing.

Bands I like: Further Seems Forever. You and I. Cable Car Theory. Piebald. Penfold. Grade. Thursday. The Assistant. Stretch Arm Strong. Every Time I Die, Shai Hulud, Hopesfall (if you like Thrice you will love them). Taken. Boy Sets Fire. Kill Your Idols. This Day Forward. The list goes on and on....oh yeah Murphy's Law, best old school punk stuff, all about partying and getting trashed, hell yeah.

I like Emo stuff, just not the stuff they throw on MTV or whatever, like real emo music.

Have you heard Fairweather or Coheed and Cambria?? If you haven't, i HIGHLY recommend downloading these songs:

Fairweather - Next Day FlightCoheed & Cambria - delirium triggerFinch - Letters to youThe Used - Taste of ink

I've met Grade before, and thursday too. Sparta is awesome, since they're almost the same band as at the drive in (Who are NOT rock!). Boy sets fire kicks ***, same with samiam, knapsack, by a thread, waterdown, planes mistaken for stars, staring back and shades apart.

Man, i could talk about music for hours!

One of the old guitarists (from Thursday) used to play in a band with my friend. He got thrown out because he found out the singer was "embezzling" money. They are from New Jersey.

Have you ever seen Planes Mistaken for Stars? They all wear like megadeth t-shirts, and have 80s metal hair, I was so suprised. I have a couple of Coheed and Cambria songs, they are good, I have to check out Fairweather though.

New BSF coming out this spring. I got like a little preview CD and they have 3 new songs from the upcoming album, sounds really good. Plus they dropped Victory Records and went back to an independant label, which is awesome.

I've never seen PMFS live, cuz i'm from canada... i've seen live videos though. Yah, the singer looks like a huge skid.

I have the new BSF album... i really love the song "handful of redemption".

Fairweather is so amazing, they really remind me of Coheed. I also like Dillenger Four quite a bit. :)

Do you care to actually categorize "At the Drive-In" then? or am I going to have to "mistakenly" keep them in the rock category? Proceed to inform me.

I'd categorize At The Drive-In as their own style.... i really can't label them as anything, but the word "rock" reminds me too much of creed and nickelback.

Pop isn't universally defined as popular music.

Pop is used to describe music like N*Sync, Britney Spears and Michael Jackson.

Either way, "popular" is never used to define ANY music :)
