I was having issues playing my music using my USB thumb drive. I dont have an ipod or any Apple product i thought this sucks i cant play my music. With my Altima i used my BB to play my music via banana jack port but the M37 doesn't have this port. I had to resort to burning my music to CD's...remember those days??? I thought this can't be, my USB drive must work - after reading the manual i found out you have to format the thumb drive in FAT32 format. My drive was in NTFS which wont work. Now i have my music on my USB drive....FINALLY.

Hope this helps..

And since it reads the DVD much faster than it reads the USB flash drive, here's another choice...
You can burn 8GB of mp3 files onto a dual-layer DVD and leave that disc in the DVD player.

Problem with USB is that it slowly re-reads the whole USB drive every time the engine starts, whereas DVD doesn't need to do that, so DVD starts instantly.

DVD is great but it's not easy to remove songs or add songs. I didn't really notice a big difference versus the two re: load time.

My usb loads up after about 30 seconds. Not a huge deal.
