Music DVD...Need help making one please...

I'm pretty frustrated.

It was my understanding that you could make a music DVD. Basically put 1500 songs on one disc, and play it through your DVD player in our cars. I've tried to make 3 DVD's and none of them will play in the M DVD player.

So far I...

1) I created a folder in itunes, with subfolders for genres, and burned a DVD. This did not work.

2) I took all 1500 songs out of the folders, and just created one playlist in itunes and burnd a Data DVD. This did not work.

3) I created a folder on my desk top and placed all 1500 songs on there, no folder, no play list, heck half of the artisit and album names wouldn't show either. I was sure I had it. Just music on a DVD. This did not work.

I could create 6 different CD's with all my Music on there. But for some reason, itunes will not burn WAV files (transferred from an album I own) or songs pruchased from itunes directly on to those CD's.

Please HELP!

Has anyone made an actual Music DVD that played in our DVD players? If so what am I doing wrong?

If not, is is there a way to make itunes brun my WAV files?

When you burn from iTunes - you are creating a disc of MP3 files. Only the CD player can read MP3/WMA - the DVD drive can only play red book formats (CD, DVD, DVD-Audio). I don't know of any cheap solution to write to a DVD-Audio format.

Search the archives - what you want is essentially a DVD Authoring program. You need to create a DVD that is playable in a DVD player (in other words, the menus, etc) - a "data" DVD is not usable in the DVD player as you now know. Once you do this, you will now have a DVD that should play all the songs in order but with 1500 on one disc with no folder structure or navigation I'm not sure why you would want to do this. You can burn MP3 CD's and put 6 of them into the dash - that's more than enough music for a verrrryyyy long trip.

I say use the DVD player for movies and DVD-Audio disks....
