Does anyone else out there think the Music Box is a bit non-user friendly? If you have multiple albums or songs recorded, how do you sort through them? When I highlight the "album by artist", all I get is the current album playing. It will let me search, but I would think that the album by artist selection would produce a list of the albums recorded on the system??

Anyone else have any experience with this? Or any suggestions on how the manipulate the Box for better use? Thanks

While I love the Music Box, I agree that having a display that list albums, or lists artist, then their albums, would be very nice. The Folder/Tune knob does sequence the display an album at a time, but if you have hundreds of albums (we only have a few dozen so far) a better system is needed.

Still, I think the Music Box is a real useful difference maker for Nissan. Great for avoiding CD clutter, and eliminates the need to pay for satellite radio on long highway trips.

There no doubt plenty of room to improve, but with that being said, I LOVE the Music Box. It is way better than what any other brand offers, and it does work very well.

Thanks to both of you for the input!

I agree. A better system of finding your music on the Music Box is needed. I just discovered, after driving the vehicle for a year, that the Folder/Tune knob allows you to scroll from recorded CD to recorded CD. What's the point in being able to select music by artist if it will only search the artist of the currently playing CD?

FYI - we just purchased a 2010 and this was driving me crazy... Love the SUV but the manual needs to be updated... On our Music Box you can ONLY SEE ALL the CD's recorded (via Menu) if the car is stopped or you are in park. Else the current CD playing is all you can hear UNLESS you use the Folder / Tune knob to scroll to the next CD. When the car is parked or stopped at a light you can go to Menu, select Down, and then Sort by XXXX. You will then see ALL the CD's you have recorded.

Hope this helps...

Is it true that the only way to copy music into the Music Box is from CD? Is there any way to use the Compact Flash card to copy music over? Very little of my music is on CDs anymore, and it seems like such a waste to have to burn new CDs solely for the purpose of copying them into the Music Box. If anyone knows a workaround it would be greatly appreciated.

You are correct, only way to copy music to the Box is from CD directly to the Music Box. Sorry, but there is no way around it. Keep tossing the music on a 2gb Compact Flash Card

Do you know if there is a limit on the size of CF card it will accept?

If you use a card higher than 2gb, songs get "lost" on the card, 2gb works perfect. :bigthumb:
