I've recorded 3 CDs (at least the record light was on and each track was check marked). Unfortunately, Only the first CD recorded is ever displayed. I'd like to change to one of the other two. I haven't tried recording others since I can't access them anyway. I used the menu button and try to select by Artist and Title but only the first CD is there. Suggestions???

How are you trying to find the other CDs? The Music Box system has lots of options and I found myself looking only on the screen for everything. Took me forever to find out the way to change from Repeat play to Random play was to use the RPT/RDM button! (a special button on the dash for a specific function! Imagine that! --I think I've been using computers too long....:-) So are you sure you are in Music Box mode (and not CD mode)? Have you tried using the Tune/Folder knob? (the Music Box treats albums as "folders")

If that's not the problem, might be time to see the dealer...

We LOVE the Music Box. Good luck.

I've accessed the Music Box using the Source button on the steering wheel. The display screen is labeled Music Box. What is another way to reach the Music Box Mode? I did read about using that knob for folders but it never changes. I had... is it possible that there's a trick to recording that I've missed?

I use my knobs on the dash and they are sorted by artist.

I tried the knob labeled "folders" but there still only the one CD for the one artist. I guess I'll have to make a trip to the dealer.

Oh, I hate the Music Box. Its the most useless and probably over rated feature (but a big selling point then) as far as I am concerned.

They should've just educated the sales folks that you can't copy mp3's or wma's to the Music Box hard disk.

I mean ever since mp3's became the norm, I've never listened to wav/audio files. Plus, they removed the 6 CD mp3 player facility when Nav is selected. So now I am flipping 2/4 gb cards and my so called "huge" Music Box hard disk is sitting there wasted

I am not sure if the ipod adapter for SL is released yet.

Thanx

I disagree completely! I personally love the Music Box, I think it is much better than the 6 disc. It holds a lot more music, it is much easier to access, and the shuffle feature is sweet as well. And to boot, you also can use a 2gb compact flash card store with more music yet. I really don't understand how someone could not like the Music Box, it truly is a HUGE selling point in my opinion.
