Was reading how wierd it is to add songs to the music box by ripping cds etc. Is there a more techy way to move songs onto the music box drive? Maybe link to a computer or something?

Well, there's a compact flash memory slot, too. I'd hope you can move it from that medium to the hard drive, but who knows? Too bad it's not an SD card slot--who the heck uses compact flash?

Compact Flash readers should be cheap and easy to find on the net. Just make sure you get a USB2.0 compatible one to speed up transfers.

The compact flash port in the dash will allow you to move music to the system. For giggles today, I threw the flash card out of my camera in to see if it could read pictures and show them on the monitor (the salesmen were curious too). Result was a "no go", must be music.

We had an in-house training on the QX with the same system and the Infiniti rep said the slot was for flash updates to the navigation system and for uploading pics to the screensaver mode on the display. He didn't demonstrate it so I can't tell you how it's supposed to function. But here is the link to the PDF manual, from Infiniti's site.

That explains why the salesman and I couldn't figure where the dvd player for the navigator is I saw the G37 coupe for the first time today and after sitting in it, trying all of the features ( not being allowed to test drive it ) I can't wait to take delivery of mine. I will receive mine hopefully before the end of this month. The pictures do not do justice to the car, trust me. I will attend a party the 16th. Oh, forgot to mention.. The salesman started the car to show me the view from the rear view monitor; Believe me, the view from the camers was great but WOW!!! that engine has a real throaty voice!!! Can't wait to get it out and on the road.....

The salesman was looking for the DVD player?? I understand for an average consumer but the actual salesman? lol That salesman MUST be new or something! I knew since the release of the 2007 G35 sedan that the next generation G coupe was going to be hard drive based. Infiniti wouldn't have a coupe DVD based when its sedan counterpart is hard drive based.

P.S. I really loved it when I got to turn on the car and hear that beautiful exhaust sound. It's deeper and more mature, which is a good thing. It sounds more exotic.
