First off, we went to the event in 2 G35's so I'm posting here........Secondly, I'm close to posting my 1000th worthless post!!!But, this one isn't it.My daughter has two pieces that are now permanent fixtures at the Mecklenburg County Court House.Yesterday, there was a Mural Dedication Ceremony at the court house. The mural is 100 yards long! My daughter had two pieces that were included! Thought I would share some pics.

In this world what we are now this is really rare to be a young and multitalented. Most kids just listening there Ipod and smoking dope. Is she in school or working?

Both. She also has been commisioned to paint a couple of paintings for some friends. Her passion is art, but she is gifted in music as well. Not to mention her 4.53 GPA....Or her state sparring champ trophy.....Yes, I will be banned from talking about her just like those cars that have running horses... Oh and you know she gets all of this talent from me! (I can only say that cause the wifey doesn't check this site.....I think)

Thanks!! We were pretty excited about her having two pieces on permanent display!!! She has applied to several art schools. We are hoping for some scholarship $$$. Daddy would like to keep his toys!

Thanks G!! She's done several nice pieces based on musical instruments - which are my favorite since I play (try to) guitar, son plays trumpet and guitar, wife plays flute and piano. Oldest son plays jembe(sp?) Daughter is very gifted with the flute, but also plays guitar and sax. She works at a musical instrument store, where she gets some of her inspiration.Recently, she's been working on portraits and people pics. She wants to go into the graphical arts field, but would love to make a living with her paintings.

Wow... amazing work. Congratulations on rasing such a talented, smart, well rounded child! I am a bit envious of all of your families' talents!
