Just saw a sweet deal locally to pick up 4 Murano wheels with 245/45/18s for $300 plus a spare wheel!

Here are how the fitment compares to the OEM steel wheels.

Before

After (increased ride height by about 1/2")

After (rear fender gap)

Tire comparison to the stock 215/60/16

After (MONEY!)

Flushness (sticks out about 5mm in the front but is perfect in the rear)

edit: The 18" Murano wheels and tires are 10 lbs heavier than the 16" steelies! How's that for unsprung weight? Youch!

Yep we'll keep the steelies around for winter tires and put some decent summer tires on the wheels when the tires they came with wear out. It'll probably take a year or two for that to happen. I also want to step the size down to a 235/45 instead of a 245/45 too.

I'll have to post some engine pics. I installed the Stillen header on it, but not completely satisfied with the "O2 sensor correction box". Check engine light still comes on with an O2 error.

Here are the engine pics. Kinda dirty, but you get the idea. I want to get some better silicone couplers, but the QR MAF and TB are retarded diameters that don't translate into inches very readily.

Put a set of murano on my 03. Got 225/45/18 tires. Also added Eibach sportline front springs. Looks awsome.

Hey can you take a pic of the car straight on from the side so we can see the fender gap on both the front and rear tires? I'm curious to know how much the springs helped drop the front.

So how is the ride on sportlines with the stock struts? Is it bouncy (underdamped)? And do the tires rub the fenders when the suspension is in compression during cornering?

Ride is smooth not bouncy.Couldn't handle the front being was higher than the rear. No rubbing issues at all.

I took my car to get a Alignment. Got it to factory specs without any camber kit needed.

Wow great news.

You only mention front springs. Did you only put the front springs on or did you install all 4 corners?

Yeah only the front springs, for some reason the altima front is way higher than the rear. If you look at the car from the the front it looks like you lowered the front. but from the side , the gap is even.

I never understood why the body was set like that from the factory. It is almost like Nissan wanted better weight distribution to the rear so they raised the ride height of the front
