So, is there any big difference between teh murano and it's infinity equivalent, or just some luxery items?

The infiniti is supposed to be a sportier ride with its firmer suspension tuning, convential transmission and increased hp. The rest of it is luxury items, like the camera on all sides of the vehicle, lane departure technology, etc.

The Infiniti will probably hold its resale value better too being a luxury marquee. I rarely see used Infiniti's for sale.

There is no Infiniti equivalent to the Murano. If you're thinking of the EX or FX, they're based on the rear-drive G35, while the Murano is based on the front-drive Altima. Totally different.

The Murano is more of a Lexus RX fighter, cushier and roomier than the Infinitis.

mkaresh, you're right it's not a true equivalent but most people compare the Murano to the EX35, including several journalists/auto reviewers. Just as an FYI that's what I compared it to as well since the OP didn't specify.

YES, you are comparing very different vehicles. Although, some that like the Murano, may like the FX or the EX, and vise versa. They are all mid size cross over SUV's, obviously the EX being smaller. I know my wife always says she thinks the FX is for men, and she would look goofy driving it, that was one of the reasons we bought the '09 Murano. There is some more information on the following thread:

I also did a mini comparison vs: the Acura MDX, which in my opinion, is a true competitor to the Murano, along with the Lexus RX, and the Toyota Highlander. Check it out!
