What do you guys think of the new Nissan Murano? I'm not a SUV in any respect, but I think it's dead sexy. The curves, styling and the 350Z like tail lights really make it something different from the rest. I'm a little dissapointed that Nissan put such a diluted version of the 3.5 in it and really dissapointed when I saw the motor turned sideways for a front driver. I guess since all of it's competition is fwd then it's ok, but come on, a fwd SuV just doesn't make sense!

I don't like it, but maybe thats just me. I don't really like any SUVs, maybe if it were a beast and were an AWD 3.5 or something I'd have been like, damn.

I kinda like it. When I went to to the new car show in Louisville back in spring, they had brochures there on them. I have to see one in person first and most new cars need to grow on me a little while before I can really form an opinion. It's different, and I like that so that Nissan will stand out some more. I agree that is odd to have a fwd suv, but times are a changin!

Car manufacturers need to stop beating around the bush and bring the station wagon back full swing...wood paneling and the works. Damn those old Caddy wagons were tight!!

look at the size of the hood on that thing! what engine did that have?personally i do wish the wagon would replace the waste of fuel, and steel wasting SUV. the wagon is more practical. today's SUV is purely status symbol unless it's got a boat or horse trailer attached to it.

I think I responded to this post also and said some things (that were useful) about the Murano. What happened? Explaination please.

PS, if I was deleted for that blurp about Hitman you should know that we go way back and my post was squeaky clean. What is happening around here?

maybe if you guys had bothered to read Torry's sticky in the ring you would have seen, that for the time being it will serve as a repository.

This thread was split on request by another member (the original thread starter) and it was hard to decide were to split it and still keep some semblance of of a meaningful thread for the one split off.

Not all in the split off thread was offensive of course..:rolleyes , but this was done so you would have a meaingful thread to go off, of in the ring.

See it all makes sense...:D

Fred...

PS: Sorry bionic

Why did you have to post somethign like this again?

I thought you were gonna play nice now?At least that's what you said.Or weren't you payign attention to teh stickies?

We have too many new members coming on board all the time, to have bad impressions like this lying around here..

I am getting a tired of all this...(sigh)

Many of you won't see Hitman's post because he asked it be deleted once read by the party at which it was aimed and I ain't "quoting" it in my post for that reason. With that I say...Well said Hitman, finally a real Moderator who looks out for the interests of the members and not himself. Keep up the good work PLEASE, you are an endangered species.

Freddy my boy, don't be upset about the "clincher" comment. We all clinch, Hell I just finished my post breakfast-pre lunch clinch. Don't take yourself so seriously and all will be much smoother. ;)

I'm still not impressed with that thing. It looks like an oversized VW Beetle.

The interior looks like house furniture or like it is made from chocolate. Who designed it..Willy Wonka??

I think its because its computer generated. Looks similar to the interior on the Altima.

i like it more than most suv's out there right now. but they need to work on that grill and the weird vertical crease on the front end. i like the side profile a lot. especially the styling around the rear window. fender flares could be alittle less immediate and a little more smoot with the body, like a true nissan fender flare.

I dont really care for SUV's at all. Well I do have a liking for the older Land Rovers. Wish I had $10,000 to get one.
