Can you describe the driving conditions when this knock occurs? Does the knock occur on uneven road surfaces? While accelerating/decelerating? While turning? The knock can come from one of the many bushings used in the suspension, but it all depends on which bushing is being stressed at any given time. If you hear a "clunk" while driving on an uneven surface (or pulling into an uphill driveway, for instance), the most likely culprit is one of the stabilizer bar links. If it clunks while turning the wheel on flat ground, you may need a new strut bearing. If the clunk occurs while accelerating or decelerating, you may need a control arm bushing.
