Run your hand along the inside top of the tire in one direction and then back in the other - smooth going one way and notchy going the other? Noise most noticeable slowing down on smooth blacktop?
Check it out.
Good 1st post, Ronny.
OP, do check for feathering, and if you've got it, it's only going to get worse. (Sorry.) My 350Z has it, bad. The cure, which I haven't taken yet, is new tires, then an alignment to the new specs on Hunter equipment. I figure that since my tires probably only have another 5000 miles left in them, I'll just deal with the noise. No point in getting the alignment now, as the feathered tires will just beat the alignment back out of shape. Good luck.
