Overview:

I bought the iPod cable and box from YourNissanParts.com to allow my iPod to be controlled from the Bose radio. The Murano 06 also comes standard with a 7" LCD display and the iPod shows the song and artist names on that display.

Materials:

Harness Type B: pn# 999U7-VS000

iPod adapter: pn#999U7-VR002

Procedure:

The car is pre-wired for Satellite radio which makes the install a breeze. You just fold down the back seat, pickup the flap and there is the cable to plug-in the box.

I routed the iPod cable under the seat, then under the floor mat to the driver side seat. The iPod sits under the driver seat. The cable was not long enough to route to the glove box.

Operation:

Pressing the Radio button selects input options; AM,FM,XM, and iPod.

The Folder button on the radio toggles through the iPod menus and they display on the Nissan screen. The tunning knob acts as the scroll button to easily navigate the selections. The Seek key acts as the enter button.

Impressions:

The sound quality is excellent. No RF here, it's direct audio into the Bose system.

It has been several weeks later since I installed my interface. I am still 100% happy with it. I love the stealth install, there is no indication that an iPod is installed in the car.

The only negative is the random selection is reset every time you turn the ignition off.

It even comes with a nice black pouch to house your iPod. My car has black carpet so it's blends well.
