My long sad story short:
- I got me a US specs Murano 2012 0 mileage water damage.   :spitout:
- Done a major work on electronics and the care is back to life
- Some idiot while changing the CVT gear oil placed normal ATF.
- I drove the car for about 1500 miles, the gear burned
- Hand it over to one workshop, they changed the chain and crowns it with 2 month guarantee, but the gear didn't hold that long, after 500 miles the clutches burned due to low oil pressure as he forgot to fix the oil pump pressure switch sprint
- I handed the car to Dexol, the auto trans specialists, the again rebuilt the CVT, and gave me the car underivable claiming it’s an electric error
- I fixed whatever errors were there, knowing that they have messed with the wiring of the gear harness
Now the situation is: they say its electrical issue, and I say it’s mechanical… :gotme so I don’t want the CVT anymore.

i already lost $$$ on this so, the question is:
Can anyone help me with the technical information?
Do I need an adapter for the gear housing? Or the Altima great fits directly to the Murano engine?
Do I need to maintain the valve body of connected to the harness and computer so the “super intelligent” car thinks that it’s running on CVT?
Do I need to do a major work for gear mounting?
Can anyone give some photos of the process or at least the final outcome?!
Am planning to record it on video and post it here

Thanks guys…

This conversation surfaced before....but without any known outcome that I am aware of. In reality, the cost and R&D needed to make this sort of swap a success wouldn't be worth it unless you have the time, knowledge, tools, and money to waste. The best bet is to have the dealership install a rebuilt CVT for a more certain outcome. :yesnod
