Has anyone cracked the pan on the Murano CVT? My issues come up with replacing the filter on a 2009 Murano. A bunch of twats say the CVT doesn't have a filter. That's cute but doesn't make sense since almost any oil system uses a filter unless it's a cheap lawn mower.

The AAMCO rebuild guide for the The JF011E (Chrysler) and the RE0F10A (Nissan) transmission shows a damn filter... I'm not entirely sure what the difference between the JF010e and JF011E are. I believe the 11E is a bit more heavy duty..

Has anyone dropped the pan? I'm pretty sure this CVT uses a filter. Pickup filter? RE09FIL01?

The Nissan service manuals are kinda pathetic when it comes to the transmission. From what I understand they won't even crack the pan...they'll send them back to the factory.

So does anyone with a bit of actual knowledge care to share some information on the CTV and its filter? It would be appreciated.

I have a 2005 se and that looks similar to the one I replaced. All you need to do is drain your transmission fluid then take the 19 bolts off the pan and pull it down. The filter is the first thing your will see. You will need a gasket to put the pan back on also and 5 qts or more if the cvt ns2 fluid or what your 09 takes

Hello. There is another Transmission filter behind the drivers side front wheel well/fenderwell. It’s mounted to the frame with 3 bolts. Easy replacement.
