Murano AWD "Auto" Indicator light

Hi, I have just purchased a Murano, 2007, and I noticed that when I select the AWD button one time, the AWD Lock indicator light comes on as it should. The manual suggest that if you select the AWD button again, the indicattor light on the dash will go to auto (for going faster than 25mph). Does the AWD "Auto" dash light ever come on?

Welcome to NICOclub, and more specifically the Murano forum! It is the wonderful members that keep NICO alive and kickin', so I am thrilled you are here!

I don't recall that anything shows up on the dash. The AWD stays locked under 25mph, and then works as a traditional Auto mode above 25mph. Hope that helps you out!

can anyone explain how the AWD works on the murano? that would be great. thanks

Actually, it does help. I checked it in another AWD Murano and it does the same thing. I think I may have just been confused on how it really works. I think you have to trust that it works in snowy weather.
