Yep! I'm asking you guys since you are the ones driving those sweet 09 murano riding on nissan's new D platform. My altima coupe is FWD. and I want to make it an AWD car. I know the 09 murano shares the SAME platform as my car and has the engine mounted transversely too. So I was wondering about the feasibility of taking the rear subframe of the murano and grafting it to my car to make it an awesome awd car. It should bolt right up to the frame since its designed for the same platform. What do you guys think about this? Any Nissan techs that can share some knowledge? oh yeah and If anyone has link to the Factory service manual from the 09 murano that would help me figure out how it's awd system works.

WOW, and I thought I was crazy for wanting to stuff the FX's 5.0 with a 7spd into a G37x coupe to of course turn it into an G50x. Lets make them both happen!

Not to ruin the party but I thought I read that they were the same platforms but that Nissan stretched and shaped the platform to fit each individual application. It may not be a direct bolt on in that case.

Very good point, they are the same platform, yet they are not exactly the same.

Slice and dice makes it more fun though!
