Congrats on your purchase. An 05 Mo is lot nicer than the used cars I bought when I first started driving - but then, that was over 40 years ago (cars were WAY different back then). And back then, I couldn't afford new cars till I was a few years out of college with a solid start to my eventual career under my belt.
As for your Mo, 55K miles isn't a lot for ANY Nissan. So you should be safe there. I always wonder, however, why such low milelage cars are on the market in the first place - unless it was a lease, of course. Make sure you get it checked out thoroughly before you buy.
The only other watch out I have for you is the remorse expressed by many who bought the S thinking they had no need for the `frills' the SL's and SE's offer. Some S owners then regret not springing a bit more for some of the things (AWD, stiffer suspension, leather, heated seats, Bose, roof, etc.) that I don't believe the S's come with. Just a thought.
On the plus side, all Mo's have timing chains and are still assembled in Japan - 2 factors I always look for in any car I buy these days. My 95 Maxima is still going strong with the original engine and transmission at 205K miles.
Again - good luck with your new Mo.
(Yikes - I just noticed you're in Syracuse. Having grown up not too far from you - Schenectady, with even less snow than you get - I'd definitely rethink the FWD vs. AWD thing if I were you. Again, JMHO.)
