The falls were beautiful. If it hadn't been raining, we would have explored more. I see now why Nxer's coworkers told her she needs to have rain gear. People here don't stop for rain. We were admittedly unprepared. However, the rain on the mountains made for some spectacular shots. The diffuse light from the thick cloud cover makes magic lighting. When you know how to set up you camera, you can take amazing pics. Nxer's cell couldn't figure out how to focus.
I sighted in the camera with a few shots of the Miata and the new place.

We drove all the way to Multnomah ahead of the rain. It was nice to have the top down for a while.
There are a LOT of modded Subaru's around here.

This Denali boosted past me. Turbo'd I don't know what to think.

Coming down the big hill into Portland.

Because Portland. I saw about 8 of these just on the way to the falls.

The sky was beautiful.

Coming out of Portland

And we arrived. I expected a long hike to the waterfall... I was wrong. This is the view from the road.

I wonder if anyone of us will ever do enough to have monuments to us.

It was only a 1/4 mile up the walking path to the bridge. The way up was largely covered in foliage, but when you got a view through it looked like this.

It was kind of anti-climactic making it to the bridge. It looked so magical in all the pictures, but then you get there and it's just a bridge.

By this point the rain had caught up to us. It was thick across the valley.

And then we came home, and I texted the KA-T 510 wagon and postponed the photshoot until tomorrow. So, stand by for that thread tomorrow night.
