Highly unlikely. The RFID in the ikeys are supposed to be unique and the car has to be matched to all the ikeys at the dealership service department using a $4K CONSULT III PC.natalia3689 wrote:but my question is... do you think his key could open my trunk? if they are in such close proximity to each other?
THANKS
This scares me. Especially bc the dealer for some reason did not give me the second fob key so I only have one. conveniently, i have an appointment today at the service side so I can go demand it...losenone wrote:You know how simple it is to duplicate an RFID ID? Wow, that's pretty shady of them to just give you ONE fob keyshinkirux wrote:

that's a good idea... i'ma have to do that also... i think i've only locked it once and that was in Vegas when i gave the valet my keysrjdmmfl1 wrote:but I always keep my trunk button off, and the glove compartment locked due to what's in my trunk, so maybe that's why its never happened
I opened the remote and covered the trunk connection to disable ithow did you do it ?rjdmmfl1 wrote:but I always keep my trunk button off
Never said it could not be done, just unlikely. It's much easier and cheaper for the bad guy to throw the car onto a flat bed and take it away.losenone wrote:You know how simple it is to duplicate an RFID ID? MUCH simpler then you would think...
When you get your new i-key paired to the car (along with the one you have), the missing one will no longer work. Go get that ikey!shinkirux wrote:
