Are the clunks in rapid succession? Do they coincide with downshifting? Is it only when braking or does it happen when decelerating? Does it vary depending on how firmly you depress the brake?

More information equals better results.

it is only during breaking and in moderate successions. It does not happen when i am decelerating or accelerating.

Have you checked the U Joints for excess play?

First thing I would check would be all front and rear bushings. Then check your front and rear brake caliper bolts. Then maybe your differential and transmission mount. Otherwise iunno... :gotme

Check where the lower radiator support meets the frame rails. My car has popped most of the spot welds on one side, I'm pretty sure that's where my clunking is coming from.
