multichecker problem

Hey ive got some problem wiht my multichecker install.. when i hook the 2 wire for the crank signal my car refuse to start ... and my ecu is getting the error code for the crank angle sensor...

i dont know what to do ...is my unit defective ? ..im trying to install it on a ca18det Ecu

your probably hooking it up to the wrong wire on the crank sensor. if you disconnect the multi checker wire will your car start?

Yes .. i verified10 times my wire harness in the multichecker booklet, my fsm... and i checked to the cas its the same color pattern for the 2 wire ... its pin 40 41. I switched the wire did the same thing... . i tried to connect the wire while the car is running and the car did not stop . i'm thinking about fitting a switch to the ground of the multichechker .. i start my car and flip the switch to power my mulitchecker and hope that everything work..:rolleyes
