Hello, been reading this board since I first got my versa a few months ago. I got the SL model Blue Oynx Color. No mods as of yet other than 15% tint all around.

Diod have a problem with my evap case leaking into my car, mold and the whole ten yards got into it. Only reason I found the mold was because I was cleaning it out and bam there it was all under my floormats and seats. Nissan had to replace to carpet and fix the problems, Man warranties are GREAT . Moral of the story, if you smell something funny in your car, dont just think its the A/C Check under your matts and feel for water on your carpets....

Enough of the BS, Here is my Question!

What Size Muffler would fit on the Versa?

the one im looking at measurements are..

ID: 2.25"Outlet: 5"Overall: 24"L x 5.8" W

If this wont fit, does anyknow the size that would fit?

thank you for your time!

To the best of my knowledge, you are the first to ask this...

I'd pop under my V and measure, but well... that would be hard to do right now.

Holy cow that's an expensive tail-back system... I can get a full cat-back for my RX-7 for less!

Of course, I suppose tuning parts are going to be more expensive at first.

I've contacted Magna Flow's R&D over that last few months and as of last week they still don't even have the Versa on their board yet. They seem to be a little bit retro active. Anyway, when they do finally come out with a catback, it should be priced around or slightly cheaper than the tanabe mufflers.

Well, I have absolutely no intention of modding the exhaust on my V (did that on my last daily driver... boy was that a mistake, I'll leave that to my RX-7), but I do have to say that at the prices that it looks like companies are charging, I'd wait until Borla or even Thermal R&D came out with a system.

Would an exhaust system make any difference powerwise or soundwise w/ an AT w/ CVT? Thanks.

the cavisity looks like it would fit any size mufflers i have seen. i have actually had my car on a lift and look underneith. i would not requimend anyone buy just the axle-back. it is just a muffler and 1 inch of piping for the axleback in the versa.

I think the biggest problem, is that any muffler you get will hang lower then stock. because the tips dont exactly shot out the back of the bumper. And if you go aftermarket. you have to worry about not touching the bumper, because you can burn it off.

exhaust is exhaust

it doesn't matter wheter you have manual/at/cvt, your car'll sound different and perform different
