Why are you adding a second muffler?

I'm going with 3 inch piping instead of 2.5 piping. It not for more hosepower. It's more for the look, but at the same time that canister is in the way for that to happen. What is the purpose of that canister.

Welcome to Nico btw!

It's just for sound reduction. Nothing but extra weight really.

The cannister onder the driver's side rear fender is your Evap Cannister and is needed for compliance with many states' environmental regulations. This charcoal filled box captures fuel vapor escaping from the fuel tank and, through a series of valves, releases this fuel into the engine intake manifold rather than releasing unburned fuel into the atmosphere. You could relocate the cannister using longer hoses, or pull one from a junkyard 1993- 1995 Altima. On these models the Evap cannister was mounted under the hood beneath the fuel filter on the fire wall. This would be on the driver's side of the engine compartment near the brake master cylinder. Good lookin out Tim. I didn't realize the evap can was back there and didn't read the post well or something. I assumed he was talking about something in the exhaust system.
