muffler ?????

Me and my firends max seem to have some similar problems. We both need new sets of coil packs and when we both drive our maximas hard there is very ugly noise that the muffler makes and you can feel the car kind of stall and theres really no power. Just wondering if any one esle has experienced this lookin for any input on whhat u guys think the problem could be. i Drive a 95 his is a 96

do you have a CEL on because it might only be one coil pack the is bad.

na no check engine light i took it to the mechanic he said its not the coils thats bad its the long black part that connects it to the spark plug, i did not ask about the muffler at the time. he says i need all 6 told me there leaking spark, so thats the main move for 09(if any one knos were a i can get some kind of deal one those six coil packs let me kno) . but my muffler does also make this noise and cause that problem i was talkin about

id start at the cat and go to the muffler. chances are your stock cat is falling apart inside blocking flow. add that to the aneimic pipe and muffler combo its choke city. i upgraded mine to a 3" cat and 2.5" exhaust system. i have a few engine mods to really make the 3" cat worth it. if your stock just go with a full 2.5" cat and exhaust system. really opens up the system.

so i have chagned all the coil packs and put a new muffler on the max. It has run stronger as i went along the thru every change. but is still doing a sort stall when i floor it once it gets around 3.5 to about 5.5 rpms then you feel the power kidna kick in back after up to red line. You think that sounds like a problem caused by the cat???
