I cannot get android auto to connect to my car. Each time try to connect my usb to my car get the message "check device MTP not supported". Idk what the issue is I've talked to several people about it and gotten nowhere.

I have a 2019 nissan versa and a pixel 3a with android 11 installed. I've tried several different cables and phones for this issues. I enabled usb debugging, Ive uninstalled and reinstalled and updated android auto, ive deleted my data from android auto, and the head unit in my car was reset and updated.

I think it may be more of an issue with my head unit that the app itself because whenever i connect a device thru usb I get the error message I mentioned before
