Ha everyone,Had a good time this weekend at Mt.Okemo Vt. for the hill climb. It was sunny all weekend, highs in the 80's.1992 240,My engine is stock.Electric fan.Exhaust and k&n air filter.Base model.I have tien springs,Kyb adjustables, poly bushings, lsd out of a 95 240 se,Stance solid sub frame bushings, custom front brace,6 point rallcage,5 point racing harness, and i run the hoosiers a's on 280z 14" rims. The car handle great but need to work on the speed now. That and the breaks will be done during the winter months. So here's a video of my trip up the hill. It's all paved but real bumpy. This was my last run on Sunday(4 practice runs on Saturday and 4 on Sunday these times counted) with a time of 2:39.57,this is my over all best time ever.

The Nissan GTR ran a 2:12 but his time was not aloud because there is a break out time of 2:43 and if u beet it u are required to put in a rollcage.U are warned the first time and than if u do it again u can not race again at that event.

Eh, well I wouldn't call it stupid. Most dragways have similar rules for cages, parachutes, etc; the rules are for safety. ... hmm, quick(er) car, fast-twisties and 5 feet from really hard trees ... yeah, I would have to wholeheartedly agree with the cage rule here. :yesnod Nice vids/pics OP, thanks!

That is so bad a**... But if you don't mind me asking..

Why do so much work to make the car handle the best it possibly can and only use a spring/shock combo instead of coilovers?? Doesn't make much sense to me. Seems if you go as far as to replace all the bushing throughout the whole car and install an lsd and put in a roll cage and racing tires and all that you'd atleast go with some street coilovers.. Maybe even tracks. 8kg atleast anyways with ride hieght adjustable... 4kg tien s-techs must feel soft and high off the ground in compairison.

IDK just curious.

Thanks for the replies. I don't think it's a stupid rule to have a rollcage after seeing some of the wrecks it's a good thing and the gtr is fast. The break out time is 2:43 and he ran a 2:12.
The reason not going with coilovers is because when i first started the hillclimb i started in the u class and u are not aloud to run coilovers.Everything else was okay to do per rules, and also the hill has alot of bumps and really stiff springs don't work as good as u would think.
Thanks again for the replys. I'm at work and my internet is down at the house so i will try to reply as soon as i can.
