Nissan has a (____)GL-4 75w-85 listed for our MTs'I know someone here has done a write up on REDLINE MT fluid mixing..

now i just stumbled across this today,http://www.redlineoil.com/prod...cid=4its exactly like the write-up mixture right? because its tagged as, GL-5 Gear oil.-BUT-I also found AMSOIL is labeled GL-4 75w-85:http://www.amsoil.com/storefront/mtg.aspxwhich is more reliable?

-its Time to upgrade to Synthetic MTF & fist pump like a CHAMP!!

This is not the fluid to use in the Altima M/T. Personally, I would not use it. Look at what Red Line has to say about this product:This product is not designed for use in most manual transmissions or transaxles with synchronizers, as extreme slipperiness may cause shifting problems.

From the Nissan FSM:

TM-9System Description

DOUBLE-CONE SYNCHRONIZERDouble-cone synchronizer is adopted for 3rd gear to reduce operating force of the shift lever.TRIPLE-CONE SYNCHRONIZERTriple-cone synchronizer are adopted for 1st and 2nd gears to reduce operating force of the shift lever.

So, as you can see, the Altima M/T has synchronizers.

The Amsoil is the one to buy. From their description:

Ideal for Front-Wheel Drive TransaxlesThe advanced synthetic formulation provides superior protection for gears and bearings in front wheel drive transaxles.
