MSD intallation

im thinking of getting a MSD SCI and a Blaster SS coil for my car (240sx 1990 Sohc engine) and was wondering if this set up will work for my car. Also i was reading that some cars need a tach adapter because in some cars the tachometer fails after installing a msd set up, will i need one of this tach adapters? thank you in advance

hope can help.. I installed a 6al in my 92 and the car wont start without the tach adapter, I actually have one sitting in my garage, if you want i can email you the part number from there all you have to do is go the the msd website and get the wiring diagram for the tach adapter, its real simple its like hooking up an amp for a stereo system but you hook it up to your coil.P.S Dont waste your money on the SCI box its just a 6al witha different label and like $100 more. I used to live in el pso TX which is where their main wharehouse is I have some frinds that work there. You can also call 915-855-7123 MSD technical support its free!!!!

8910 if you buy it new the diagram will come with it. try Ebay its like $30.let me know once you get it if you need any more help..

ohh and you will need some sort of msd coil that box will burn your stock in a matter a week or two. I went through like 5 different coils with my box even msd ones you gotta be careful...

thanks for all the info really apreciate it. another question...did you get any notisable gains in horsepower after intalling the msd ignition?

nothing huge, but yes you can feel the difference right away...
