MSD installation in an s14

I have had an msd sci ignition for awhile now and decided last week to hook it up. I called msd and had them mail me a wiring diagram. When i received the diagram i noticed that it has a diode and what appears to be a relay wired into the setup. I was just curious to know if anyone has any info or help on this install- i searched but couldn't find anything but more questions. Thanks for any help.

P.S. I will post the diagram when i get a new scanner

After talking to a tech at autotronic controls, I have found out what I need to do. For installation into a 240, you need a tach adapter pn 8910 and 1 amp diode. I am also working on converting to an external coil so I will post both diagrams when I can.
