MSD ignition

How hard is it to install this system? All I need is the MSD 6a box right? anything else? Also will the 6aL with the rev limiter better is will the regular one do fine?

good luck, dude....its next to impossible.using the hks twin power is much easier, and a little more expensive.

yea man, ive asked everywhere on every forum and nobody seems to have installed an msd ignition or anything in their car. i have the msd btm that retards timing/lb of boost and i cant find anyone that has installed it. msd just sent me a wiring diagram so i am going to try to install it again this week

do you have any specific questions?

a boring ignition box with one output should be fine on the KA. All you need is to tap off the spark wire, as it's a one-wire setup. Of course, other stuff will need to be connected in a real-world setup, but that should start you out.

Im not sure if this will help you guys, but im guessing it will. I made this diagram for reference when I wired in my standalone, its the big plug on the distributor. Its in an open thread on the website. http://www.ka-t.org/forums/viewtopic.php?t=45
