a couple of months ago i was having probems with my car running rich due to the timing chain having jumped a tooth (and other problems which are all very long stories). i decided to just swap the engine and start all over because the complications with my old engine were just too much for me to bear. so any way, i had already bought an msd ignition control unit to be used on my new engine but i became curious to see if the increase in spark output would help with my running rich problem. i believe i discussed this with many of you and few of you believed that the msd would make a difference at all. i was skeptical myself but after i installed it, i found that the engine ran significanly leaner and smoother. even my mechanic was surprised to see the results. i am not condoning this as a solution for rich running engines. i just thought that it was interesting that the msd helped that much.

HEY, was just in the market for buying a MSD coil for an upgrade. It was suggested to me cause my car runs HELLA rich. Like you ive replaced and changed so many things i dont even wanna talk about it. Although I AM going to buy a MSD but which one did you put in. Like a Blaster 2 or 3 or something else.

actually, i am still using the stock coil. what i have is the msd ignition control unit. thats what i was refering to. i dont know about the coils but that would probably help with it running rich. however, like i said before, dont try to just patch the problem. do some research and get to the bottom of it.
