MSD ignition stuff

At what point (whp) do you think I need to upgrade my ignition system from stock using MSD stuff?

Iv heard that the stock ignition system is good till about 350 hp. Of course below that line you can get a bump in HP by upgrading your system, but i think after about 350 you need to do it.

ALot depends on the condition of the wiress and the rest of the stock parts. Not to mention the voltage output of the Alt. There are several ways to increase voltage you your plug, some cheap and some not. There really isn't a set point. You'll know when you start "blowing out the spark". When that happens tighten up the gap to .030 when that no longer helps you'll need more juice.
