I wanna put in a MSD in my car but I have a Question and anyone thats installed one in their car should know.

I have a 91 240sx ka24de and I was wondering can u install a accel Ignition control unit to replace the power transistor? (The actual Nissan part is $250 and im installing a MSD ignition and blaster coil anyways plus it is cheaper.)
