OK Guys,

It is time for me to get a better ignition because 22+psi and stock ignition just dont work together, at all. Anyways...I have an MSD HVC that I am going to be running and it is able to run off of a Magnetic pickup, AND a Points/Amplifier style pickup. Well, Just wondering how everyone else who has wired in an MSD did this. In the JWT diagram it shows the trigger from the distributor to connect to the white wire on the msd, which makes sense to me but I just wanted to double check.

This is in my 95 SE, which has a full standalone, and is now going to be running an S13 distributor to be able to use an external coil.

ThanksRickhttp://www.ka-t.org

yeah the white wire will connect to the trigger in the dist.

If I may ask, you had to get the external transistor with the s13 distributor, correct? Just trying to see what all I need to grab from mmy friends car when his clip shows up.

As in transistor you mean the coil?

If yes, then no, I run the MSD HVC Coil.

If no, then i dont know what you mean.

sorry, I asked a question I already knew the answer to.

On JWT tech page, it states that you need the external power transistor from the s13 but if it wasn't 3 am I would have realized that I bypassed the internal transistor in the s14 dist. when i installed the 6al.

Good luck with the ignition
