I was looking online for a new cap and rotor set and came around these

I was wondering if anyone tried this and their opinion on them

Unfortunaly it won't work for us. I believe thats for some older fords plus it's designed to fit on MSD pro billet distirbutors only. Wich there are none made for the KA's. Sorry......

I got a new coil and cap and rotor and some thick MSD wires with some NGK's i got to 0.045 it worked pretty good i like it just make sure you get the wires on the plugs because mine car backfired like a mofo when the spark jumped it was cool throwing flames for a bit though

hay RJ how ya doin man...im usin the MSD 6A ignition system..its a multispark that at low rpm and idle..with fire the sparkplugs for 20 degrees..this burn's all the fuel..at high rpm..it works normally..with good plugs and thick wires..it will add popwer and reliability due to the ability to burn fuel more compleately..spark is 4megajewels...i sugest getting a MSD coil too..as i melted a few chepo coils with that system.

The reason you kept "melting" coils is because the MSD 6A/6AL is an ignition amplifier. Yes at under 3000rpm's it's a multiple spars discharge (hence M.S.D.) it suplies the coil with higher voltage at all RPM's. Something any factory coil couldn't deal with. Coupled with an MSD blaster 2 coil, wich has a much faster recharging time, will create a hotter spark. So, you could even get a blaster 2 coil, and still gain power. Especially up in the higher RPM's.

the coils i melted..were not factory or oem replacments..they were cheepo's...accel..ect..there was not a MSD coil in my area at the time to replace it with so i held out till mine arrived with cheepo's for 20 bucks a shot!..

and you just repeated what i said in a different way..what was the point of your post?..to point what out?.you post is confusing to those who dont normally install ingnition systems often..keep it simple ..it works just the same..peace man..and good luck

The point of my post was to correct you. But I quess I might have miss-interprited you a little. I took "normal" as just like the factory. Voltage wise not single spark wise.

and how many people who don't normally install ignition systems know what a megajewel is or even the amount increase the MSD gives. I put it laymens terms.
